One important and overlooked ingredient in any beauty routine is the use of sunscreen or moisturizer. There are a few different kinds of sunscreen and all of them have their own merits and demerits. It would be best for you to keep an eye out for what kind of the product works best in your skin type and how much sun protection you need. We can recommend such products as SPF or UVA/ UVB spray, but they do not guarantee 100% protection against harmful sunscald. A lot of people also need a good moisturizer with some other ingredients that provide anti-aging and make it more hydrating.
Now let us focus on makeup and its effects on our health. If we talk about makeup, you should think twice before getting one because there are many types of makeup. So, it can affect your health in both ways. Most of us would try everything when we start makeup. In fact, some believe that using the wrong makeup is better than no makeup at all. But this statement is incorrect. Many people get affected by these cosmetic products either due to bad luck or overused. They feel awful after applying them and sometimes even develop allergic reactions or dry skin. These things could ruin your confidence and lead to depression. However, there are some precautions and solutions to tackle with makeup such as wearing makeup only by yourself without others around. This is because of the risks involved with cosmetics. Besides, wearing makeup by yourself may trigger acne or acne flare.
If you’re someone who loves to spend hours to look beautiful then you need to be careful about your health. Apart from the cosmetic world, we can also discuss about fitness and overall wellness. Our body shape is affected by our daily activities, some healthy habits, and sometimes certain skin diseases we develop. Therefore, it is essential to keep fit and lose weight so that we can live long enough to enjoy life! The first thing you must do is to gain strength by doing cardio exercise on a regular basis. When you’re exercising regularly, you will see results in your body. You will feel better and happier, which means you will be able to enjoy activities like socializing and other fun activities. Moreover, eating right, is also a crucial factor of physical health. Eating fresh organic foods that don’t contain chemicals, additives, and artificial colors and flavors are essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Additionally, avoid consuming sugar-sweetened beverages because it may cause insulin spikes, increasing blood sugar levels and causing diabetes. It can also cause dehydration.
There are many natural herbal supplements that work wonders for your health. Some include vitamin E, copper, iron, antioxidants and many others. For instance, lemon curcumin helps in fighting free radicals and has been shown to reduce inflammation. Also, turmeric and ginger are some amazing herbs that have been used as cure for colds and congestion. On the same note, green tea can help in boosting your immunity system. Green teas may also protect against germs or viruses. Thus, drink up to three cups of green tea every day. Another important addition are omega 3 fatty acids which have antibacterial properties, making them great treatments for heartburn and ulcers. Additionally, Omega 5 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties and may reduce inflammation and pain. Make sure to limit intake of trans fats and saturated fats. Trans fat is one of those items that contain very little nutrients compared to others. Saturated fat is the source of cholesterol and is found in processed meats, butter, cheese, cream and margarine. Therefore, it is important to restrict the consumption of these foods to prevent heart disease.
Although it took me a time to understand how serious my health is, I am definitely gaining strength through constant workouts and eating healthy food. Nowadays, many people start taking care of their health by reading about the causes of diseases that I have been facing for far less than anyone I have known. I wish I had taken help from experts or medical professionals, like nurses and doctors. Unfortunately, they can only give information on illnesses, but cannot prescribe remedies. Furthermore, they mostly know symptoms and not the underlying factors that lead to them. Even though I have consulted with most of the doctors I have ever met, nobody has been able to explain why I’m suffering with headaches, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, fever, and severe stomach pain. They say that I might have high blood pressure or anemia. My doctor told me to take H.L.P pills or else, I will suffer the same thing when I finally go through the problem.
As a teenager, I was extremely concerned about the treatment I was receiving from my classmates. After a week or two, my parents had to send me to class after experiencing headaches. At that point, there were no medicines available. Nevertheless, the head teacher said that I should go in the next month for a checkup. That is when many teachers came to me with various recommendations on how to solve the issue. Then, on the second week, he said that the headache medication was not working, that I should try acupuncture or massage. All of them told me to ask someone if acupuncture worked, so I did. Afterwards, after two days of acupuncture, my headaches ceased altogether. As a result, I was able to attend school without having to worry about how to treat my headaches. Despite being embarrassed by the way my peers treated me, I decided to continue attending classes and complete my studies. As a final thought, I had to tell them that I had never heard those words “pills” or “acupuncture”. Not only did I have to study hard and remain loyal to my friends, but I also had to practice self-discipline.
Here I am, six months later, still struggling with my headaches. Although I had to go to another city to seek medical attention, I can easily accept that I will not be able to manage myself until I decide to control my migraines. I cannot say anything else about it except that it hurts a lot and makes me feel like it’s going to break my bones. I know that I should find something effective to alleviate this pain, but unfortunately, nothing comes to my mind. So, I’ll continue being cautious. My advice for those who suffer from migraine is to keep trying to find ways to ease the discomfort or get rid of it completely.
Another issue that I could face with is the stressors of everyday life. Since puberty, I was always stressed out as a student because of my exams. I also became insecure and stressed due to my family members who didn’t take into consideration that it would affect my mental health. Being a child, I hated being called by my full name and was often called by nickname ‘Kooligan’. Therefore, whenever I felt anxious, I would just run away from home and stay in a place where my parents were. Eventually, I moved schools, but I couldn’t escape the feeling of anxiety. When I would go to school, I would go through numerous tests and exams, but I never thought that it would be worth the effort. Today, I realize how lucky I am to have attended college and have the opportunity to pursue my dreams. Sometimes I would become jealous of those people who have a peaceful childhood and managed to overcome problems easily. However, I always tried to take the advice of my friend, who stated that the number of exams is not the matter. Instead, the fear of failing is real. People would rather hear about their success stories than get worried about preparing well. He also recommended me to get married, become independent, and live with a boyfriend who doesn’t want to spend his time studying.
Since graduation, I did not have any hobbies. Well, I still wanted to work as an engineer since a young age. As a person, I’ve been interested in engineering and technology. I was planning to attend Cornell University and apply for PhD programs by completing my master’s degree. Before I knew it, it was too late. By then, the pandemic had hit America; colleges closed down. Fortunately, I got a job offer from Stanford University and applied for graduate programs there. Unfortunately, one semester passed and my application for a Ph.D. program on top of the masters program at Stanford fell through, leaving me with no choice but to quit the field to return home and prepare for my mother’s funeral. To my surprise, I went back to engineering but now I have to deal with the idea of building houses and apartments. I can hardly imagine doing it as a professional engineer. I even asked a friend to design me houses based on my interest in architectural studies. She told me to choose whatever design I want. Nonetheless, the house I chose to build does not belong to me. Maybe someday, I’ll finish my academic career and hopefully, I will become successful. At the moment, I’m struggling to adapt to my new lifestyle and feel like I am an outsider. Yet, I still love to read books about architecture and appreciate the progress of modern technologies that make lives better.
